b.1985.
Lives and works in Venice.
As an artist, Raquel works in the intersection between abstract and figurative expression, very frequently bringing out elements from nature, or recognizable forms. By using different materials (canvas, paper, clay and pigments), and across a variety of media - sculpture, drawing, painting, and golden leaf application - she creates ceramic compositions and abstract paintings that evokes imagery - as in a surrealist landscape - or movement, as in a Impressionism inspiration.
Raquel has participated in the Art Night collective exhibition at the Atelier 1 of Sculpture at the Academy of Fine Arts of Venice (In Time, 2024; Whitening Transformation, 2025). Had one of her works taken by auction for AVAPO Venezia 2024, in partnership with Christie's (Into the Wilde - Luce, 2023); and exhibited, with Raízes Gallery at the 2025 DNA (design, nature and art) event. She has some of her works with private owners in Brazil, London and Barcelona.
